First National Bank is in the News !  05/10/11 12:13:42 PM

Each year at the Nebraska Bankers Association Annual Convention, those who have served in the banking industry for 50 years are recognized.  We are proud to announce that Carolyn Witherwax was honored this year as a 50-Year Banker.  Carolyn began working at the First National Bank on June 13, 1958.  She worked her way up the organization starting with the Ord High School's "secretarial practices" program in 1958 and retired  as Vice President and Cashier in 1991.  She currently serves on the board of directors.

Each year the Nebraska Bankers Association recognizes banks that are celebrating 125 years of providing banking services in Nebraska.  We are proud to announce that the First National Bank in Ord was recognized for 125 years of service to their communities.  The bank opened in Ord, NE at the corner of 17th and L Street on March 16, 1882.   The First National Bank has had several locations over the years but has lived by one principal, FIRST IN SERVICE.  Pictured are the directors accepting the award.
