Honda, USAC strike partnership
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Honda and the U.S. Auto Club have announced a multi-year
partnership that will make Honda the title sponsor of several midget racing
series.
Honda will be the official engine supplier of USAC's National Midget, Ignite
Midget (which will be renamed Honda Midget) and the .25 Midget series.
"Honda's new level of participation throughout USAC's racing programs brings
new energy with its national marketing footprint," USAC president Kevin Miller
said Thursday.
The partnership will begin right away, starting with the Midget Series race at
Lucas Oil Raceway Park on Saturday, and will take full effect for the 2014 race
season.
Honda will supply USAC with pace cars for the National Midget and Honda Midget
Series along with Honda Side-by-Sides and ATVs for series officials along with
other utilities for racing teams.
