Receipts:  64 loads    Last Week:  76 loads    Last Year:  77 loads

Compared to last week, grass hay was mostly steady, alfalfa trended weaker.  
This week`s offerings consisted of 44% Alfalfa; 28% Grass; 5% Mixed Hay, 17% 
Cornstalks, and 6 percent oat hay.  All prices dollars per ton, except where 
noted.  All sales FOB Rock Valley, Iowa, vicinity.
 
One load Small Squares equals approximately 5 tons; Large Squares and 
Large Rounds range from 10-25 tons per load.

   Alfalfa:  Premium:  Large Squares, 1 load 157.50; Large Rounds, 2 loads 
145.00-150.00; Small Squares, part load 170.00.  Good:  Large Squares, 1 
load 130.00; Large Rounds, 7 loads 110.00-140.00.  Fair:  Large Rounds, 13 
loads 80.00-102.50.  Utility:  Large Rounds, 3 loads 65.00-75.00.

   Grass:  Premium:  Large Rounds, 6 loads 120.00-135.00; Small Squares, 1 
load 140.00.  Good:  Large Rounds, 4 loads 102.50-110.00.  Fair:  Large
