   Movement and demand continues light from the cattle industry while
the horse interest is moderate.  Prices are mostly steady.  Rain has 
been widely scattered leaving most areas from Alabama east, in need
of moisture.  

   Hay quoted is by the bale FOB producer barn unless otherwise
stated.  Approximate bale weights:  Small Square 55 pounds; Small
Round 1000 pounds; Large Rounds 1500 pounds.
   NOTE *** Price in parenthesis denotes calculated weighted average
price per ton.

   Bermudagrass hay:  Small Square:  Premium:  mostly to horse
interest 3.25 per bale.  Good:  2.50-3.25 per bale (113/ton).   Small 
Round:  Good:  35.00 per roll.  
   Straw:  Small Square:  1.75-2.50 per bale. 
   Mulch:  Small Square:  2.00 per bale.
